The Wintel Systems Architect facilitates researching and implementing enterprise class solutions, assists in prioritizing tasks, leading and coordinating projects, assigning work flow tasks, and maximizing team contribution to the business needs of ABC Financial Services.
Serves as a backup for the Wintel Enterprise Systems Manager and assists the Manager with work flow management.
Acts as technical lead for Active Directory, Exchange, and Lync environments.
Monitors and provides support for the Microsoft active cluster environment.
Uses leading industry techniques to monitor and proactively troubleshoot the Wintel environment and serves as a senior bridge member in this regard.
Creates and Designs migration and upgrade strategies for Active Directory, Exchange, Lync and SQL server.
Installs and supports new server class hardware and software infrastructure
Takes an active role in evaluating new technologies to ensure that they align with company business objectives and fits within the Wintel service portfolio.
Ensures that hardware and software systems are maintained and actively looks for configuration gaps that could compromise the performance and integrity of Wintel Systems.
Provides IT system administrators with training and knowledge transfer on managed systems.
Ensures that all IT equipment complies with industry standards and best practices and actively creates a roadmap when equipment does not.
Actively searches for system vulnerabilities and proactively documents and removes them in accordance with HIPAA and the PCI/DSS.
Researches, evaluates, and formally presents solutions to IT Management for procurement consideration.
Provides thorough and understandable documentation on all projects and assigned system functions, including a weekly status report on assigned goals and project milestones.
Documents data processes and flows that relate to assigned projects.
Monitors and reports on system performance on demand or as needed and serves as a backup for the VMware architecture.
Manages and configures Dell EMC storage arrays via Navisphere software, Dell EqualLogic storage systems.
Designs, manages, and maintains Enterprise Datacenter servers such as Domain Controllers, DNS, RAS, print servers and terminal servers.
Position Requirements
AS in information technology related field or equivalent
10
years working with Microsoft Windows
10
years prior technical support experience
2
years of cloud deployment techniques
5
plus years project management
2 years' experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server 2007, 2010, 2012
Extensive knowledge and experience with the power shell environment
10 years' experience with Active Directory Forest Management and able to support and manage 2000
AD user base effectively and efficiently
Knowledge and Experience with high-end Microsoft Windows based server platforms such as Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012R2
Thoroughly proficient user of Microsoft SCOM 2007, 2010 and 2012
Mastery of Windows Server services such as print server management, DNS, RAS, and terminal services
Ability to trouble-shoot wide ranging issues from critical system outages to forgotten passwords
5
years' experience working with HIPAA/PCI-DSS/HI Tech Act
5 years of solid network experience using Cisco Technologies. Wireless deployment experience is a plus
3 years' experience working with EMC SAN environments
5 years support DELL/IBM blade technologies
