SR IT Business Analyst

Job Description SUMMARY The Business Analyst provides the critical link between the business and technology sides of the organization by effectively discerning and analyzing the true needs of business users; developing and modeling detailed steps that most effectively and efficiently solve business problems; and communicating these solutions to technology staff. The Business Analyst works with business resources within the company (end users, managers, QA/Testing, Developers, and executives) as well as business interest external to the company (customers, suppliers and partners). The Business Analyst works throughout the continuum of detail from the extremely general to the extremely specific and has a critical mind to identify opportunities when none may seemingly exist. As a client centric organization that changes quickly, documentation of all processes are within the scope.  Additional responsibilities of the Sr. Business Analyst may include leading projects and driving them to completion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IT Business Analyst Participates in all planning and implementing of future IT developments. Monitors overall quality standards, calls, emails and departmental practices, making recommendations to Managers and Leads for modifications in standards, practices, procedures, and training. Takes the lead on suggesting and revising IT policies and procedures to make sure they are efficient and assures that they are properly integrated with the business. Understands, interprets and gathers requirements for technical and non-technical projects so that business expectations are meet. Writes requirements, specifications, and stories according to ABC documentation standards, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely. Represents requirements and specifications using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios Expresses recommendations based on client desires, product architecture, cost, quality, and delivery timelines Mentors, interacts, and ensures cross-team and cross-department cooperation Clearly presents ideas and solutions to small or large audiences of customers and upper management Must be able to translate technical work-effort into a language that the business can understand via a formal deliverable. Must be able to quickly learn ABC business processes and be able to recommend technical upgrades that will add efficiencies as needed. Analyzes business requirements and objectives towards determining the optimal configuration of the requirements. Exercises good judgment in the use of configurations standards, proposing business beneficial changes and development procedures as needed. Considers interdepartmental impact when recommending solutions and identifies opportunities for interdepartmental utilization of recommended solutions. Works with peers to develop realistic benchmarks, standards, and strategy for each department. Supports, complies, implements and contributes to the information security processes and procedures such as security policies and the PCI/DSS process. Change Management Oversees the Change Management process to ensure that change requests are implemented. Recommends improvements to existing procedures and assesses work of team members to ensure compliance with procedures. Must be able to translate management recommendations into workable technical solutions. Researches, recommends and implements solutions that will allow ABC to achieve the maximum amount of up time available. Vendor Management Manages relationships with ABC support vendors that service the IT department. Reviews and prepares statements of work as needed.             Project Management Drives projects to completion based on value, budget and time restraints. Manages the project budget to assure that project charters are realistic and achievable. Provides thorough and understandable documentation on all projects and assigned system functions, including a weekly status report on assigned goals and project milestones.  Must be able to create, design and revise a formal project for management consumption from conception to completion. Works closely with other teams for problem resolution and project coordination Must be able to translate technical work-effort into a language that the business can understand via a formal deliverable. Other Assigned Duties Performs other duties as assigned by manager or management Regular and reliable attendance required QUALIFICATIONS Proven creative thinking and troubleshooting skills Must be able to organize, prioritize, multi-task and complete work with multiple deadlines Must be extremely detail oriented and able to make sound independent decisions Self-motivated self-starter with great initiative, and requires little to no supervision Great focus on customer service skills with ability to motivate others Team player with ability to learn complex technical material 3+ years prior technical support experience 2+ years of flexible IT Quality Assurance experience 2+ years of flexible IT Business Analyst experience 3+ years Project Management experience Knowledge of ITIL and IT processes with an ability to implement ITIL processes Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Knowledge and experience with Windows Desktop and Microsoft Office environment EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BA  in related field or 6 years' experience 4+ years working a Business Analyst 2+ years in contract writing and reviewing. 4+ years in creating effective policies and procedures 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience 1+ years of Business Analytics experience required 3+ year of Project Management experience Must be proficient with MS Office Products. Experience performing usability studies, ROI, NPV, and feasibility analysis Excellent writing skills, experience with teaching, facilitating, and leading seminars and training sessions Experience developing testing strategies and scenarios REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Interviewing skills - Ability to talk with individuals, users, and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirement information Listening skills - Ability to understand not only what people say but what they might be hesitant to say or what they may otherwise be unable to effectively communicate. Modeling skills - Ability to represent requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, including using a variety of modeling languages Flexibility/adaptability - ability to changes priorities quickly and often. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
